Measuring devices for tensometric measurements

VTS Zlín s.r.o. supplies digital force and weight meters. You can then transfer the values from the strain measurement to a PC via USB or use converters to get an analog output. Strain gauge transducers convert the signal from strain gauges and sensors into measuring instruments, and are produced in various configurations for mains supply or for low voltage supply.

Analog tensometric transducers

They are designed to convert force (mass) signals from a strain gauge sensor into a unified measurement signal, which is either a voltage in the range -10 V to +10 V (0 to +10 V) or a current in the range -20 mA to +20 mA (0 to +20 mA or 4 to 20 mA). As standard, the transmitters are supplied either in a plastic box for mounting on a DIN rail or in a plastic box for wall mounting. Upon agreement, the converter can be delivered in a metal (Al) box.

A transducer can be delivered to order with essentially any parameters – transducer design (type of cabinet), sensor power supply (voltage, current), transducer input signal (sensor sensitivity), transducer output signal and also filtering of the measured signal. Multi-channel converters can also be supplied, either with separate outputs or with a sum output.

Force and weight meters

They are numerical (digital) measuring devices with a microprocessor, which enables the use of a whole range of additional functions. This is a tare function for setting the display to zero when the sensor is not loaded, a maximum value memory function, transmission of measured values via RS232, RS485 or USB to a computer, or other functions. With these meters, program linearization of the measured signal and possibly temperature compensation are also possible. Meters can be equipped with a DA converter to obtain an analog output signal. The power supply is either 230 V/50 Hz (built-in mains supply or 230 V/12 V mains adapter), 24 V, or a rechargeable battery.

  • Our sensors can be used with common strain gauge electronics.
  • We supply electronics for our sensors from, for example, Mercos, Orbit Merret, Car-Tech and others.
  • We also offer custom electronics production, which is produced for us by the company ATERM:
